Krishna Consciousness in Bangladesh by ISKCON had been originated at Tejkunipara (Rented home) in Dhaka in the late seventieth decade. And, later, that center had been transferred to Sri Sri Radha-Govinda Temple in Wari. ISKCON was finding a permanent and large land out to enhance the propagation. By the result of the great mercy of Srila Prabhupada and the great endeavors of devotees, ISKCON started propagation in Swamibag at the early twenty first century. Thus, the outreach of the teaching of Lord Caitanya in Bangladesh has been enhanced greatly. It is my pleasure to know that the greatest and most gorgeous temple of ISKCON Bangladesh is going to be built in Swamibag Ashram. I hope that all the devotees will work collectively and will try their best with open hand in executing this temple constructing project.
The Krsna-conciousness movement is being propagated greatly in Bangladesh, the land of Gaudiya Vaisnavas’ pastime. Therefore, constructing an aesthetic temple in Swamibag, the heart of capital Dhaka, is the vital pivot for accelerating the propagation of Krsna Consciousness. Thus, it will accompany thousands of people in any festival. Extending a helping hand in collecting sufficient amount of money is very essential to execute this project properly. Just like, an ocean is revealed by accumulating drops of water for a long time, little endeavor of great number of people will carry out a great work. Therefore, I hope, to satisfy Srila Praphupada, all the devotees not only from Bangladesh but also abroad, will extend their helping hand. We have coroneted for executing this great project with the expectation of all types of help from all of you.
This Hare Krishna movement has been started from the holy place Navadvipa or Mayapur, is well known to everyone. But if we observe carefully, we can find that most of the devotees who implanted this movement, appeared in Bangladesh. Even the Lord Caitanya’s father’s home was in Dhaka-daksin (Sylhet) so far. Moreover, the associates of Lord Caintanya like Sri Rupa, Sri Sanatana, Pundarik Vidyanidhi, Sri Nivasa Thakur, Madhavendra Puri, Advaita Acharya and so on, appeared in this holy land, Bangladesh. Therefore, constructing a large temple in the capital of Bangladesh is a demand to propagate the glories of this holy land. Therefore, we are requesting all of you to extend your helping hand for working out the construction of the temple very soon and thus, we can establish Sri Sri Radha-Govinda, Sri Sri Jagannath-Baladeva-Subhadra Maharani over there.
